Attached is a screenshot of a mockup of what Xiki menus might look like using the SFW column/page paradigm. Not the direction you were going in, I think, but interesting to think about.

Another way xiki menus could exist within something SFW-ish might be having the menus stay within a single SFW page (column) rather than spanning columns. Then when you click an item, it could go to the next menu in-place. This could provide a way of quickly creating SFW plugins that are menu-centric. I suppose this would comprise a Xiki SFW plugin. Again, not sure how viable this would be, but interesting to think about.
